THE COAT

Let's see... How do you capture interest in coats?. I think it's the maker, or the famous person wearing it. But those things don't interest me too much.

I'm here to write about a wool coat. It's a coat that has a long manufacturing history filled with life, as past lives knew it.

I'm wearing the coat. It's made of wool good sheep gave to sheperds who passed it along to me (hopefully without too many middlemen). It keeps me warm almost everywhere. Sometimes I need more insulation beneath it, but not often.

My severely crippled Brother gave it to me. I was living in Montana, near the place he chose as home. He didn't want me to be cold there, so he spent money he didn't have to give me this gift. It's the best gift I've ever received. It's not a coat, it's love I sometimes wear through hard times

Like my Brother, I'm tired now. It's time to sleep where we sometimes dream... more

We opened for the Panther Burns in Tucson in the mid to late 80s, I believe. Tav Falco rode a motorcycle up on stage to start his set. It was very fun -- he's a great showman. Afterwards, Lorette Velvette..
