Our best friend, Dan McBride, passed away very suddenly over Memorial Day weekend this year.

Its hard to believe that a 30 year legacy of individuality and aspirationto better oneself constantly and grow as a person can be reduced to an ending that consists of "heart attack > coma > brain injury > unplug > death."

Dan had a sense of style that didn't fit within any label, group, societal branch, or one that followed a rule. If he liked it, and it happened to cross paths with someone very unlike him, so be it. He usually wasn't the one that had trouble comprehending that you didn't have to look a certain way to enjoy certain things. He had found love and held on for the ride a few years ago, and he and his girlfriend Amber brought out the best in each other and helped to expand one another's world.

I loved him for these, among other things.

So, please, dear Brinksters, meet my friend Dan. I am supremely pleased to introduce you.
