I have recently become absolutely ADDICTED to iced coffee.  I have found a quick and easy way to make a tasty iced coffee through experimentation in the kitchen at work.

You need:

2 tall glasses
8 ounces STRONG coffee (the stronger the coffee, the better the taste of the finished product.
Milk to taste
Sugar to taste
Vanilla extract, chocolate syrup, or other flavoring to taste
Redi-Whip (optional)
Ice

What to do:

Combine coffee, milk, sugar & flavoring in a tall glass.
Place ice in 2nd tall glass, filled 3/4 of the way full.
Strain coffee and other ingredients between the glasses TWICE.
On last strain, pour into the glass, but put fresh ice into the glass first.
Top with Redi-Whip.

  • The Post had an article yesterday about liquored ice cream. They were using a variety that didn't include coffee liquor, but that doesn't sound too bad.

Guess it's a hit around here - according to the folk selling it. I'm always up for a culinary experiment. Iced coffee is great stuff, especially when it's hot out
