I was luckyenough to be born Jan 59, just in time to live through and remember the 60’s.London buzzed for nearly fifteen years, Carnaby Street, I Was Lord KitchenersValet on Piccadilly Circus, the demise of Lyons Corners House as the Wimpy tookover, bed was a treat with Radio Caroline and Luxembourg phasing in and out ofmy little red box of transistors, love love love. JFK blown away, Martin Luther,Nixon (who should have been) Vietnam, burning napalmed girl, Hendrix and so soso much music that I drank it dry. Grammar school and off to the City to earn afortune and spent it mostly on coping with high stress jobs drinking champagne cocktailswhich led to Thunderbird Wine (Red) and bottles of Popolov Vodka; drank myselfdry, detoxed in 92.  Great ex wife Deb,two great kids Kate and Henry who kept me level throughout my recovery. Singerof rock at 16, punk at 18, New Wave 19-26, listener from 26-32, Soul 32-38, outthere 38-43, Jazz 43 to present. Drug Counsellor with homeless addicts for thepast seven years in Brighton Uk. Just burnt out for the third time since 2000but one of the most satisfying periods, wading through crack pipes, dirty pins,benzo’s n booze, getting to know some of the most beautiful people, andattending a lot of ‘Pauper Funerals’. Burnout can be like rebirth as long asyou don’t get addicted.
